RAS(ON) inhibitors MoA animation

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.

NAS: RVMD

Project goal

Create a short MoA animation about the RAS(ON) imhibitors that remodel the structure of cyclophilin A to create a neomorphic interface with high affinity to KRAS.

Find out which of our 26 scientific animation options works best for investor relations and communications in 2023:
While we were making this animation, our client was updating their brand identity and website, so we were in a constant interaction with the separate design team, that was developing the new company look. Our color scheme and visual style matched these new guidelines and fit into new design. This wasn't our firs project for Revolution Medicines, so we had several previously developed assets that helped us in production, however, we improved previously created models and put them into a complex cellular context.

Why we used this animation type?

This animation was made in our Main 3D style, however, for the interactions within the RAS-RAF cascade we used several computational molecular modeling techniques, thereby introducing some Hi-end 3D style elements into the final animation. We also included a scene with animated 2D infographics to show the RAS cancer statistics and support the significance of the approach developed by our client. In the short animations, combination of accurate and eye-cetching 3D visuals and informative 2D graphics usually work best to tell the story in an effective manner.
